Driwater

We often leave their indoor bonsai while on holidays using a variety of watering strategies. One strategy I have used lately is Driwater from Stokes Seeds and have been fairly successful with it. I used it for a ten day holiday; losing only two seedlings. Has anyone had any experience with this product over a longer period of time?

Sorry, I don't have any experience with 'Driwater'. It sounds really great: a gel, providing water for up to thirty days. Not many of our members have extensive indoor collections.

With our outdoor collections, we use automatic irrigation, or have someone come in to water when they're away.

The only problem I personally would have with the product is the amount of aluminum it contains. Not being strong in chemistry, I'm wary of having too many heavy metals around me.
