A Visit to a Bonsai Nursery Near Montreal A Photo Essay with Images from Jean Charing and Mike McCallion by Dierk Neugebauer Last June, a large, congenial group of bonsai enthusiasts undertook a trip to a bonsai nursery and the Montreal Botanical Gardens, thanks to the herculean efforts of Dick Morton and others. And what a trip it was! Our first stop was the bonsai nursery of Suzanne Piché and Robert Smith outside of Saint-Alphonse-Rodriguez (Quebec). The location was beautiful, and a varied selection of pre-bonsai material was available for purchase. The pictures which follow will give you an idea of what we saw.
