1. Grace is available at 8AM on Saturday. 11AM is the deadline for the arrival of sales items. 2. If you are unsure of how to price an item, see Bob Wilcox in the kitchen for realistic pricing advice. 3. Complete the chart below in duplicate at home - one copy remains with you and the other is given to Grace. Extra copies of the chart below can be picked up from Grace at this month's general meeting. 4. Chart Explanation: |
| Your Code #: | identify each item with your initials and an item number - For example, if you are selling 2 similar ficus plants, identify each plant on its own line and with its own code number, such as, "DN-4", "DN-5" (your initials plus the item number) |
on each item to be sold also place your initials + the code number + your asking price - please realize that there is a fee to the club for this "selling service": - you pay nothing to the club on each item that is sold for less than $10 - on each item that sells for $10 or more, you pay the club 10% of the sales price - the maximum amount of money that any individual will pay the club for these sales is $40 on all sales |
| Name of Item: | a descriptive word or common name or latin plant name for each item |
| Information: | hardiness, care pointers, type of pot, history, collected... - space is obviously limited |
| Your Asking Price: | this is the money for which the item will be sold |
| Actual Selling Price: | this will be entered by Grace, and may be different from your asking price if you have agreed to any kind of discount near the end of the show |
|
5. When you come to pick up your unsold items at the end of the show on Sunday, check with Grace to compare your list of unsold items with hers. Any discrepancies must be cleared up at this time before any items are removed by you. 6. Grace will have your money for you at the next club meeting, NOT at the end of the show. You may use the chart below to help organize your items for the sale: |
