General

A Workshop on Pines

by Jeff Shortt

For the first general meeting of the year, we decided to start with a good warm-up activity, and what better way than a workshop. Dierk Neugebauer had graciously acquired and stored several Mugho pines for the club, and brought them in for the evening's work.

We have several eager new members who jumped at the opportunity to get their hands dirty, and they were ably led by some of our grizzled veterans. The pairings were: Zach and Harvey Klein, taught by Arthur Skolnik and Bob Cole, Greg Quinn helped by David Young, Vlad Adamec with Mike Roussel, and Brian Davies with Reiner Goebel. Welcome to the newcomers, and thanks very much to the instructors!

Complied below is a sampling of the evening's festivities. Enjoy.
