WORKSHOP – Fall Yew Initial Styling

  • Toronto Botanical Garden, Studios 1 & 2 777 Lawrence Avenue East Toronto, ON, M3C 1P2 Canada (map)

WORKSHOP

Fall Yew Initial Styling

Yews (taxus) can make for some spectacular bonsai that are resilient and formidable. Their hard wood is perfect for deadwood carving, and their burgundy-coloured bark rolls over, highlighting the live veins. All that, set against deep green soft, tiny foliage. In this workshop, members will work on the initial fall styling of Taxus densiformis, keeping in mind the overwintering needs of the tree.

*Waiver must be signed to participate.

Because we are working with sharp tools, we will have a first aid kit available on site.
We also recommend you have Tetanus shot updated in time for the workshop as a precaution.
